THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT PIECE OF ADVICE I HAVE F THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT PIECE OF ADVICE I HAVE FOR ASPIRING CREATORS? 👑Five years ago, I was burnt out, constantly sick, and just plain miserable. I took a leap of faith and quit my stable and successful job as a Creative Director to freelance and pursue my travel creator dreams. Little did I know, it would only be a matter of months before Covid shut the world down. 🌎But it worked out better than I could’ve ever imagined... because I joined @sheswanderful and met like-minded women travel lovers and creators. I also started attending Wanderful’s creator conference @witsummit where I met and started pitching travel brands galore. 👯‍♀️After four years of grit and determination (and “a little” help from my Wanderful girlfriends!), I finally took Global Debauchery full-time January of 2025. And I couldn’t have done it without the support of these incredible women. 🙌(BTW, here’s me in NYC this past year SPEAKING at WITS, participating in a little Global Debauchery off the clock with some of my Wanderful besties, and it wouldn’t be me of course if I didn’t somehow manage to spill coffee INSIDE my lanyard.) 💁🏻‍♀️👉 The best advice I have? NETWORK. Be sure to pop on over to @sheswanderful and @witsummit to see what my all-time favorite women’s travel community is all about.#womenwhotravel #womeninbusiness #empoweredwomenempowerwomen #travelgirlsgo #travelcontentcreator
LONG WEEKEND TURNED MINI ROAD TRIP! 🚗 Because tra LONG WEEKEND TURNED MINI ROAD TRIP! 🚗Because travel isn’t necessarily about new countries. It’s about exploring new things and seeing what you haven’t seen before. So when the AP4L wanted to see more sights in New Mexico, who was I to say no? 🤷🏻‍♀️🗺️ THE ROUTE: Albuquerque to Santa Fe to Taos back to Albuquerque. With scenic drives like the Turquoise Trail and Enchanted Circle Drive.🏜️THE NATIONAL PARK-TYPE SIGHTS: Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, Mesa de Cuba badlands, Taos Pueblo, Bandalier National Monument, Valles Caldera National Preserve, Los Alamos (Manhattan Project!), and Petroglyph NP.🌆 THE CITY SIGHTS: The opera house, Loretta Chapel, and the Georgia O’Keefe Museum in Santa Fe. Old Town and main plaza in Taos. Route 66, Sandia Peak Tramway, and Old Town in Albuquerque.👻 THE WEIRD + WONDERFUL SIGHTS: Earthship Biostructure outside Taos, Madrid on the way to Santa Fe, and the Rattlesnake Museum in ABQ. Not to mention endless creepy ghost towns, like Elizabethtown, Dawson, and Colfax.🏆 THE BEST + WORST: Los Alamos is super OVERrated. Valles Caldera is super UNDERrated.👉 PRO TIPS: Always check the weather. You can’t walk to the Gorge Bridge; it’s closed off. Mesa de Cuba badlands are a random property with lots of cows. Taos Pueblo closes to the public for part of the year. Book Sandia Peak Tramway tix in advance.📎 SAVE THIS POST for your own mini New Mexico road trip. (And bring your National Parks passport!)#newmexico #newmexicotrue #albuquerque #santafe #taos
2025 REALLY SAID “PACK THE BAG, BOOK THE FLIGHT, L 2025 REALLY SAID “PACK THE BAG, BOOK THE FLIGHT, LIVE YOUR STORY.” ✈️From slow travel days that turned into unexpected adventures, to hidden gems that felt like secrets the internet hasn’t ruined yet, this year proved that the best trips aren’t rushed—they’re felt. 🫶Chasing sunsets, collecting local flavors, getting lost on purpose, and saying YES to just one more stop every time. Here’s your sign that experiential travel, off-the-beaten-path destinations, and meaningful journeys are the REAL luxury in 2025. Same passport, way more memories. 🗺️#travelroundup #2025travel #travelinspiration #wanderlustlife #adventuretravel
🔥 HOT TAKE: LA BOCA, BUENOS AIRES IS 1000x BETTER 🔥 HOT TAKE: LA BOCA, BUENOS AIRES IS 1000x BETTER THAN THE “PARIS OF THE SOUTH” AREAS.(YES, I DID visit Buenos Aires and not post it. 😆)Don’t get me wrong—Buenos Aires has some really gorgeous central tourist areas, but the colorful alleyways of Caminito in La Boca were just a vibe. 🌈While Caminito ITSELF is a tourist spot, La Boca’s GENERAL reputation precedes it. It’s a little rough around the edges—but… that’s part of the story. And, to be fair it, IS very easy to exit that immediate section and wander into the more residential part of the neighborhood. …But I’d be lying if I didn’t say JUST those few streets piqued my interest more than anything else I saw touring BA. 👀La Boca brings the color, the chaos, the street tango, the art-covered buildings, and that raw Buenos Aires energy that feels less polished and way more real. Caminito vibes > cookie-cutter attractions. 💃👉 Sometimes the best places to visit are the ones people warn you about… respectfully.#BuenosAiresTravel #LaBocaBuenosAires #ArgentinaTravel #SouthAmericaTravel #BuenosAiresCity #TravelHotTakes #UrbanTravel #CulturalTravel #CityBreaks #TravelOpinions #LatinAmericaTravel #ColorfulCities #TravelInstagram #WanderlustLife #HiddenGemsTravel
WE ESCAPED TO ROATAN, HONDURAS! 🇭🇳 A couple of ri WE ESCAPED TO ROATAN, HONDURAS! 🇭🇳A couple of rickety puddle-jumper flights later with local beers that LITERALLY translate to “saves lives,” @chase.the.rainbows and I spent a few days roommating and unwinding in Roatan with full princess treatments. 👑Kudos to Kimpton’s daily social happy hours for a little global debauchery, personal island kitty, and agouti (referred to as “island rabbits” by the locals). It was everything we didn’t know we needed after DAYS of anxiety-inducing, white-knuckle travel. 10/10 stars. Would visit again. 🙌👉 HAVE YOU BEEN TO ROATAN?#roatan #roatanhonduras #honduras #travelandlife #traveljunkie #travellovers #islandvibes #islandlife #wanderful #wanderful_places #wanderlust #wanderlust_tribe #adventureisoutthere #islandsofadventure #islandgirl
DON’T YOU EVER GET SCARED TRAVELING? 😳 F*ck YES. DON’T YOU EVER GET SCARED TRAVELING? 😳F*ck YES. (Am I entering my soft girl era?) 😂 And sorry to say I DEFINITELY had an experience earlier this year (that we shan’t speak of!) that really DID rattle even me. The GOOD news was that—by sheer luck—I happened to be with girlfriend and fellow creator @chase.the.rainbows, though I was INITIALLY rolling solo on this adventure. 👀The best way I can sum things up is that you ALWAYS expect a certain level of discomfort when traveling to new places. That’s part of the ride (AND part of the fun!). And things WILL go wrong. But it’s up to you and your personal comfort level to determine how much risk you’re willing to accept in any given scenario. 🤷🏻‍♀️Unfortunately (or fortunately?!?) for Charlie and I, we collectively decided that there were just WAY too many X factors out of our control, and not enough safety measures available to us to offset them. So… we stayed calm, trusted our intuition, and used our travel know-how to get out STAT. 🙅🏻‍♀️It admittedly took us both a couple (few?) days to take a breath and process the experience, but ultimately neither one of us regrets the decision we made to leave. And you’ll never guess where we went INSTEAD! …But that’s tomorrows post. 😉P.S. Don’t ask me where because I refuse to paint any given destination with a broad brush. And, yes of COURSE, I still love travel. As much as I ever have. ❤️👉 TELL ME YOUR NIGHTMARE TRAVEL STORY IN THE COMMENTS!#womenwhotravel #solofemaletravel #solofemaletraveler #solofemaletraveller #travelgirlsgo #femaletravel #offbeattravel #bloggerlifestyle #bloggerlife #travelbloggerlife #travelcreator #travelbloggervibes #travelislife #travellifestyle #iamatraveller #doyoutravel
ALEX: Okay, fix your hair and be serious. ME: 💁🏻‍♀ ALEX: Okay, fix your hair and be serious. ME: 💁🏻‍♀️Quickly approaching the big 4-6 (am I still mid-forties?!?) and all I can say is… WOW, WHATTA RIDE. But for all its woes (which are A LOT), aging HAS blessed me with one ABSOLUTELY beautiful thing I would NEVER trade for anything in the world—freedom. 💃You spend decades carefully constructing your future (and—to be fair—some stability) within the confines of one thousand societal expectations, constantly addressing questions about when you’re gonna get married, why aren’t you having kids, are you really quitting your six-figure job? But here’s the thing about your forties… you DO. NOT. CARE. anymore. 🙅🏻‍♀️Let’s, for one moment, forget about the fact that you’re going on the hormonal rollercoaster of your lifetime and are just trying to survive this life one day at a time without going to prison. (Because alla THAT is completely impossible to ignore.) 🎢You reach a point where your ONLY goal in life is simply… to be happy. This ONE thing. And you know what? I don’t need the impressive job title, the biggest house, the best things, or the approval of others to do it. In fact, I’m happier than I’ve EVER been. 🙌What I DO need: to do what I love (travel + create), to UNAPOLOGETICALLY be myself (for better or worse), and to surround myself ONLY with people who love me for ME (doesn’t matter whether it’s 2 or 20). 🫶I see a lot of reflection posts from 20- or 30-somethings (“I’m not afraid to admit…” type things)… BUT—and I mean this in the LEAST patronizing way it can be said, though I’m sure it still comes off that way (sorrynotsorry, you’ll know when you get there)—just know: THE BEST IS YET TO COME. Because the DGAF is reeeaaalll. And it’s AMAZING. 😂If you’re a fellow 40-something woman who’s struggling to navigate the insanity inside your brain, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. It’s messy, it’s unhinged, but it’s also glorious. And I’m here for you. 😉And YES, that IS a drinks bracelet on my wrist. Because WHY…?!? 📣#wedonotcareclub #40something #happybday #hbd #perimenopause #perimenopausesupport #womenintravel #travelgirls #travelgirlsgo #dgaf #inspodaily #motivationforlife #sorrynotsorry #iykyk

WANDERING THROUGH THE HISTORIC TERLINGUA GHOST TOW WANDERING THROUGH THE HISTORIC TERLINGUA GHOST TOWN ON DAY OF THE DEAD… 💀Feels like stepping back into another time. The quiet desert air, the painted altars, and the flicker of candles remind you that every story here is rooted in history. And real people, long since passed, lived entire experiences in this very place. 🕯️Did you know Terlingua was once a bustling mining town with eight miles of tunnels, some plunging over 800 feet deep? And most of the town’s residents were descendants of Mexican Revolution refugees, bringing with them traditions, stories, and resilience that echo through the @visitbigbend desert today. 🇲🇽Spending the day honoring ancestors here isn’t just about remembering—it’s about feeling the connection between past and present, real people’s stories. And it may just be the reason I always feel so at peace, so introspective, and am so fascinated with cemeteries (i.e., the always-controversial “dark tourism”). 🪦👉 WOULD YOU DO DAY OF THE DEAD IN A GHOST TOWN CEMETERY?📸 Credit to @dustingarza35, a super talented local photographer, for so graciously sharing some of his gorgeous shots!Ad | #visitbigbend #terlingua #texashistory #texas🇨🇱 #ghosttown #darktourism #historyinpictures #weirdandwonderful #offbeattravel #offthebeatentrack #offthebeatenpath #totravelistolive #traveldeeper #smalltownusa #visittheusa
